🚿 Delta RP71718 Diverter Cartridge,Chrome - 3 Functions, Non-Shared Review

Perfect fit for our new shower. We have installed a ceiling rain shower, wall mounted shower and hand held shower. Smooth transition from one source to another. No residual drops etc.

Easy installation. Roughly took my 3 way socket into a box and turned it into a real 3 way shower. The plumber "forgot" to replace the 2-way cartridge with a 3-way cartridge. "forget". yes, that's right.

Worked well. The switch has a common function, ie it controls two outputs at the same time. We didn't need a common one. The only problem was that it has 6 positions instead of 3. I only noticed that at the beginning. Now we don't even think about it.

Shower head in manual mode and both at the same time. You must use this cartridge to control three separate devices: IE shower, hand shower and rain head. This is a Delta scam, you don't need to buy a separate cartridge.

The master clock positions (12, 4, 8) work perfectly, but the intermediate stops, namely the clock positions (2, 6, 10) do not completely stop the flow of water. The question then becomes: Why do we need intermediate stops that bring the total number of stops to 6 in a 3 function cartridge? I expected a better design from Delta and returned the cartridge.

Purchased Delta valve body for shower in bath. I wanted the spout, shower head and hose to work independently, but if the selector was on it would allow for shared flow between the sets of each, which wouldn't work. This selector has replaced the annoying one and makes it possible to select any of them without common threads. My only issue was that it still clicks at each of the six positions and every other position has no flow. I prefer just clicks.

Used to replace the valve supplied with Delta's T11997-LHP Six Function Reversing Valve. . It's nothing I couldn't find articulate enough to explain how I used it. I had three separate features I wanted to control: a small handle that you pulled to divert water into the shower 2) a regular shower head (came out of the wall) 3) a rain shower head (came out of the ceiling).
