Everything in that regard went almost as I expected. I opened the factory keychain full of PITA, but I used a hot air station to heat it and peel it off piece by piece until it was carefully opened. but it was all an OEM device. Moving on to this new one, it was nice and easy to put together. no glue! yay The blade was replaced with a roll pin that I knocked out. The hardest part was getting the "Switch Blade" action to work properly. But all you have to do is assemble it loosely and then rotate the top (or bottom) case while holding the spring in place. I found that 2 spins gave it a nice clanking action (after figuring out which way to spin, going the wrong way led to close).
