UPDATE 10/9/21 The first package of these socks were absolutely wonderful. Soft just the right length, had wonderful non slip bottoms. I wish I'd ordered two of those.The second package? Meh. They still have the great non slip bottoms, and they are still soft, but they are about 3 inches longer than the first package, which surprised me. I can fold them over and down so that they aren't sitting too high on my leg, but I didn't have to do that with the first batch. I'm assuming poor quality control? They also shed like crazy. That shedding is the reason for the reduction from 5 to 3 stars. I put a pair of the burgundy socks on and an hour later, I'm seeing burgundy fluffs all over my floors (and I have no rugs to rub them off, all hardwood and tile). Color me not as pleased with the second package. And when I need another, I'll probably not go with these again. Too bad, too, since I was in love with the first batch, which were absolutely perfect for me.Former I wear these around the house all the time. My feet tend to swell because of my health, so I try to make sure that I have a few pairs of these around all the time. Sadly, when I tried buying them in a brick and mortar store, I discovered that the prices had skyrocketed, although I didn't know the reason why. So I found these. They appeared to be a bit longer than just at the ankle, and I was hoping that they would work well for me.They arrived yesterday and I was pleased to note, when putting on the first pair, that they are plenty wide enough and long enough. They are incredibly soft, which I love. And the "non slip" pieces of rubber are big, a lot bigger than my last couple of pairs. No slipping and sliding for this girl!The thing that impressed me the most however, is whoever designed these must have been paying attention to the needs of people who suffer from edema of the lower leg and foot. The last thing I wanted was a tight ankle, or a short ankle, in these socks. The ankle on the sock comes up slightly above my ankle area and is not at all tight. I see that there is elastic in the top of the sock, but they don't squeeze and I don't get any marks on my legs from wearing them. 5 stars as far as I'm concerned.
