Disappointed - broke after less than one moth of use

Purchased on the recommendation of Consumer Reports. The valve cap for the water supply has a very flimsy plastic piece that broke within one month of use. Product does have a warranty. I have submitted a warranty request to the manufacturer. If I hadn't thrown the box away, I would be returning this product. It's made in CHINA and the cost was $79.99, which I though was high. I expected better quality for the price.
