Review on Lilac Brilliance: Transforming Blond Hair with Ammonia-Free Toner for Perfect Shades of Lilac by Karen Padilla

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect ice blonde!

I have always used Wella Foundation. They are cool. But I went to Sally and they weren't the same color as me (I mix them). So I decided on a blonde tonic. I figured if I didn't like it it was just a toner that washes off quickly. So I got platinum and champagne tones and 5 vol. developer. I mixed 1 ounce of platinum and 1/2 ounce of champagne with 1.5 ounces of developer and applied to damp hair. I left it on for about 20 minutes. I usually don't leave the toner on for more than 10-15 minutes. But I kept an eye on him and it took 20 minutes for him to look finished. When I washed it off I thought the color looked amazing. After drying it, it was amazing! I started with very, very light yellow hair, almost white, with just a hint of buttery yellow. It would be nice to keep it that color. I just like a colder tone. I think I like these tonics more than Wella. The color is absolutely amazing. And I like that I use 5 volumes. developer instead of 20 vol. at wella.
