Best Small Bookshelf

I needed a small sturdy bookshelf for the upstairs hallway. I liked the look of it so I bought one. It was packaged well, with each part numbered and the hardware arranged neatly in individual packages making it easy to verify everything is there before you begin. For those who assembled eccentric castle furniture, assembling it according to a clear pattern was a breeze. For those not used to this type of construction it may take a little more effort as there were no written instructions, just pictures. There was also a security bag with strap in the package, presumably to secure the bookcase to the wall so the child couldn't lower it and hurt himself, but there were no instructions for that and I didn't need it for my purposes. The overall appearance of the bookshelf was pleasing but not ideal. There was a small gap between some of the decorative pieces, but nothing noticeable. The screws holding the shelf are painted white and the paint will peel off easily when you tighten them. I had no problems aligning the parts, although a couple of the bolts were a little binding when screwing into their counterparts (don't know what they're called, not quite camlock, not quite nut). I was a bit worried that the 1/2" thick shelves wouldn't be strong enough for my books, but they seem pretty strong and I had no problems. I ended up buying three.
