Review on 🔧 Dodge Dakota A/C Condenser - Spectra Premium 7-4798 (Part 1058656) by Don Devine

I was replacing the evaporator on my 1999 Dodge Dakota SLT truck and decided that I would replace the condenser while the system was being bled. The original was badly worn after 150k. I chose the Spectra because the coil I ordered was the same brand and good quality. This capacitor arrived in a large box with no packaging. He jumped up and punched a hole in the box. It didn't seem to have any damage to the ribs and I didn't want to go through the difficult task of replacing them so I went ahead and used it. The condenser had a noticeable kink in the tubes from left to right. about 1/2 inch up from the straight line on the right. It looks like it was made that way. The condenser is properly aligned in front of the radiator. I had no problems with the capacitor connections. They entered immediately. The system also held a vacuum and loaded with no issues. So it works. The quality was ok and I was disappointed with the packaging. You can check out some other brands if you are in the market for any of these brands.
