I have six and three shelf versions for the area behind our oven. Very happy with the industrial look. The six shelves connected with no problems, but had to cut about 3/4" from the bottom shelf to make it fit. Since it was a real tree, no problem. The tubes are about 3/4" and just screw together . The three shelf version came with a 1/2 inch pipe and wasn't as strong. Pay attention to transverse threads when assembling. Both shelves came with drywall fixings, but I chose to use my own screws and align the fixings with bolts so they were very strong. Overall I like the look and more importantly the wife is happy too. Both shelves are great. Just be careful when putting three shelves together... When I got confused I got even fatter, lowered my pants to the correct height and used my wrenches to make sure the hardware was properly tightened.
