Realize that laptop coolers (or heatsinks) have two main purposes. The former uses faster, louder fans that are noisy but can provide good cooling. The second reduces noise levels by running the fans lower but offering less cooling. When you have a high-performance portable gaming rig, you need something that offers powerful cooling to keep the device cool, thereby extending its lifespan and potentially improving performance. . If that is what you desire, this product is not for you. This product is intended for the second use case. It spins the fans fairly slowly, making it one of the quietest I've used. I sacrifice more cooling performance for a quieter device. I am using it on a computer with a 10th gen i5 which gets very hot even under normal load. Without a mat, this laptop would get too warm to leave on my lap. This device allows me to use my laptop on my lap very comfortably, even when I'm wearing shorts. When using this product, the bottom of the computer always feels cool. If you need more cooling performance, you have to live with increased fan noise. Don't buy it and complain that you don't understand your needs.
