These come in very handy when you're short on space and there aren't a lot of places to put things out of the way. However, because the magnets are very strong, they can scratch the paint on any surface you stick them to (see photo). I folded several paper towel halves and placed them between the magnets and the fridge to stop scratching the fridge. I then ordered a second set because they are still very useful. I have also found and ordered appliance paint here at Revain and found guides online on how to fix scratches. I would recommend them, but I would also warn you to be careful. It's best to just pull on it when removing (which is difficult but not impossible as the magnets are very strong) rather than pushing it forward. upwards or to the side until they release in this way, as shifting can cause scratches.
