The magnets on it are strong. They will definitely stay in place when you take the broom out of the fridge. Can be done with one hand. No need to hold the magnet with one hand while removing the broom with the other. Also fits my Swiffer extension which is thinner than my broom handle. I love these things.

I was hoping to attach a standard hand brush to one of these on the side of my fridge. However, the clip is a bit too big for a standard brush, but I moved the end of the handle with the eyelet to one side of the clip. It works out! I bought the broom and magnets at the same time so I couldn't measure properly. The magnets are strong and generally excellent. Product.

These come in very handy when you're short on space and there aren't a lot of places to put things out of the way. However, because the magnets are very strong, they can scratch the paint on any surface you stick them to (see photo). I folded several paper towel halves and placed them between the magnets and the fridge to stop scratching the fridge. I then ordered a second set because they are still very useful.
