First of all I like HJC helmets. I have an odd shaped head and the medium oval HJC fits best without having to order anything. Overall this is a good helmet and I am happy with my purchase. That being said, the shutter position for the tinted drop-down is poorly placed and possibly poorly designed. The slider is located on the bottom left of the helmet forward. It's hard to find when you're wearing gloves and hard to work on when you find it. The main protective mask is another problem. It doesn't open wide enough to get it out of my line of sight. Its curvature makes it look like a wing when lifted while driving. When the face shield is fully closed, the underside of the helmet clamps against my jaw in such a way that it quickly gives me a headache. To solve this problem, I either leave the face shield slightly ajar or remove it entirely for shorter rides with easy-to-use hinged clips.
