I like that they are crispy but difficult to work with. The braided strands of hair I wanted to pin up are less than 1/4 inch long. The smallest of the three sizes is too small for my two fingers to pull through my hair. The average size is not tight enough when doubling and cannot be tripled. The large size would create too many layers of rubber even if you could put your fingers inside. They just don't have enough stretch. I won't change my hairstyle just to match what rubber bands can - I'm still looking for an alternative. It would be great if a manufacturer made an elastic transparent rubber band.
