These clear plastic ties are great! I have thin blond hair just below my shoulders. I use the largest elastic when tying my hair in a ponytail and it's big enough to double up for a secure ponytail. I love that the elastic seems to "disappear" since it's see-through. So when I go somewhere nice, it's a chic way to "spice up" a ponytail. you are terrible. I had a pack of 500 multicolored ribbons that I bought at a department store. They were made of rubber and lasted over 6 months with daily use on two girls. I bought them because they are transparent so I didn't have to worry about matching outfits. What mistake! These are so thin. Unfortunately I missed the return deadline for this product because I want to return it. They are all very thin and will break after one use - if you manage to use them once. There are 250 of them, which seems a lot, but I've already completed at least half of them. Also, for the price, it's not worth it. Goody used to be a good product, but its quality has gone down and the price has gone up. I would look for another company for this product, they will disappoint you.

The holders themselves are fine. I wouldn't necessarily call them stupid. They still pull on your hair when you take them out and ideally I need baby fingers to style my hair rather than my adult hands. The worst thing, however, is the packaging. They were perfect for what I wanted. When my daughter was younger I used it on her all the time. However, recently I wanted to wear a charming thing that was just a clip. I knew it would just slip out of my hair. So I used one of those little clear elastics, secured it in my hair, secured my hair clip through the elastic and it stayed in place ALL day! Ideal! They are great for my thin and fine hair. At first I was worried they would pull my hair since they look like rubber bands, but they are surprisingly slippery and come off easily. I like that they are crispy but difficult to work with. The braided strands of hair I wanted to pin up are less than 1/4 inch long. The smallest of the three sizes is too small for my two fingers to pull through my hair. The average size is not tight enough when doubling and cannot be tripled. The large size would create too many layers of rubber even if you could put your fingers inside. They just don't have enough stretch.
