Great for braids and ponytails!

These clear plastic ties are great! I have thin blond hair just below my shoulders. I use the largest elastic when tying my hair in a ponytail and it's big enough to double up for a secure ponytail. I love that the elastic seems to "disappear" since it's see-through. So when I go somewhere nice, it's a chic way to "spice up" a ponytail. Personally, I rarely use a medium size, but if my hair were a different thickness/length, I would imagine a medium size would make sense. Since my hair is very thin, I usually use the smallest rubber bands. I braid my hair very often (almost every day) and the smallest elastic is perfect for me. I use the smallest band for side braids, French braids, pigtails, pigtails, pigtails, fishtails...call it a braid, I use a small elastic! It's very secure (I always double it) but not so tight that it's impossible to climb out of. I've used many rubber bands that pinch and pull on your hair when you try to remove it and this one doesn't look like it at all. They are easy to remove and don't harm my fine hair. These clear elastics recently ran out of stock at Revain so I had to buy clear elastics from my local pharmacy instead. That's when I realized how amazing Goody Classic Polybands are compared to other transparent bands. The straps I bought at the drugstore were also goody but not in this particular packaging. I only bought the small pack (because I use that size every day) and it was an absolute nightmare. The straps were so hard and tight that I couldn't even put my fingertips in to undo and use them. Luckily the Classic Polybands are back at Revain so I was able to order them again (which prompted me to correct this review!). In fact, I love this particular band style so much that I've added it to my monthly subscription and storage order. :-)
