Review on Hutzler 359RD Onion Saver Red by Gary Konduru

I ordered 2 of these, both lids are so tight it's almost impossible to use. I've tried releasing the lids with rubber grips, silicone grips, etc., but since the connection between the two halves isn't a spiral twist, it's a groove and lock, the tabs on the lid fit into the slot on the underside, and are machined so that they are so tight that once fitted, it takes more force than is reasonable to open them. I tried turning the tabs at the top into different slots at the bottom, thinking there was a pattern to follow, but that didn't give the best result. I have strong hands, I use grip enhancers for work every day; The problem with sticky lids isn't that my hands aren't strong enough to twist the halves. I have a lime holder with a clear lid, it's a couple of years old, and the lid is a spiral twist, not a focal plane. The transparent lid model is about twice the price of this one, but it's worth it.
