5 stars because it works as it should. Easily install and turn gas magazines on and off with a switch and remote control. However, the ON/OFF function is reversed. To turn on I have to use the OFF position of the switch, and to turn it off I use the ON position. When the remote functions switch is placed in the RS position, the buttons continue to operate in the opposite direction. Press the OFF button and turn on, I use the ON button to turn off. However, I do not believe that this is a malfunction or a defect in the product. I have an old fireplace with a very simple function. A control button with ON-PILOT-OFF. I've tried swapping the provided cable connections connected to my logs, but the result is the same. I'm glad I now have a switch and remote control function for my budget gas magazines. Turning on and off in reverse isn't really a big deal. The only test now will be durability. How long does the product last?
