Review on Bulbrite KX20CL/E12 Clear Candelabra Screw Base Light Bulb - Energy Efficient And Long Lasting (1 Pack) by Tim Kallimanis

Much brighter than regular halogen candelabra, it's not a subtle difference, it's such a large difference: normally in a 3-bulb chandelier I can see three shadows on the ceiling for the chandelier chain, one shadow for each bulb. However when I put one Bulbright 60w with two regular 60w incandescents, the Bulbright washes out the two other shadows completely and all I see are the shadow cast by the very bright Bulbrite. I don't have a way to measure the lumens, but it's very noticeable. The color is noticeably cleaner and whiter.As far as size, the level at which the filaments sit is at the same height as other decorative incandescent candelabra "flame" shape bulbs. Of course the Bulbright glass bulb is much shorter, and when it is turned on, it's so bright you can't actually see the glass. Therefore when turned on , it looks like you took a decorative candle-shaped glass bulb, and removed the glass. The unexpected benefit is that it actually looks quite like a vertical flame coming out of the socket (my chandelier has that typical white cylindrical shield below the socket). The effect is enhanced because the glowing filament begins from the bottom and goes to the top of the bulb, which enhances the illusion it's a flame connected to the candle (socket)-- whereas in a standard decorative candelabra bulb, the filaments hang in a V-shape about an inch above the bottom of the visible part of the bulb (with that one-inch margin not glowing), which is not like a real flame.I installed it in Dec 2014 in a lamp used daily all evening, so will track how long the bulb lasts. I was careful not to touch it with my bare hands during installation.UPDATE: daily use all evening, and it is still working February 2016.
