Much warmer and cleaner light compared to LEDs

I have a light fixture above my bathroom window with six of these bulbs. Two of them burned out and I decided to replace them all with LEDs. Big mistake. The LEDs where cold even though their spec is ‘warm’ light and they have a subtle strobe noticeable when looking out of the corner of your eye— especially as the light reflects off falling water. I returned the LEDs and bought these bulbs and I am very happy I did. The light looks beautiful and they dim quite nicely with the switch dimmer.

Pros
  • Great bulb
Cons
  • May not provide the warm, cozy light that some people prefer

Not energy efficient

As lightbulbs go, these are expensive, not durable and are not energy efficient. They are a necessary evil for me right now and I cannot wait to change to a different lighting system.

Pros
  • Tools & Home Improvement
Cons
  • May not be as energy-efficient as some bulbs with lower lumens

Brightest frosted 60 watt E12 bulbs on the market at an amazing 960 lumens. (The clear ones are 1000 lumens.) If you have disappointingly dim bulbs in your candelabra base fixture, these will become your favorite bulbs. They're not cheap, but being able to actually see sometimes carries a price. Be careful to handle them by their ceramic ring so that you avoid getting oils from your skin on the glass which will shorten their life for sure. Note they do burn very hot.

Pros
  • For a longer lasting and more energy efficient LED option, please see Bulbrite item 861531
Cons
  • Can make certain colors appear differently in a room

Exceptionally bright, exceptionally fragile.

Bulbs are bright. Quite bright - bright enough to leave a halo around the light source and afterimages. A single bulb is light enough to brighten a dark room as if it were day. They also produce a good amount of heat (warmer than incandescents or florescents of similar wattage). The bulb inside is exceptionally fragile - a two inch drop onto a couch cushion ruined one.

Pros
  • ‎20 Watt
Cons
  • Can sometimes flicker or buzz when in use

Amazingly bright - my new review

Saw some concerns about the short life of this product. I have only had for 1 month so I cannot speak to that but see no indicators that it would be any different than the manufacturer's specification. When I first opened the large box, I was dumfounded at the small size of the bulb and was sure I had made a mistake. I was even more dumbfounded when this bulb put out so much more light than the 40w halogen bulbs that were more than twice the size. I intended to go to the 60w halogen but saw this

Pros
  • Low wattages in line voltage without need for transformer
Cons
  • Can be fragile and may break easily

Solves an Interesting Issue

We have ceiling fans that have very limited room within the lighting fixture for bulbs. They are designed for candelabrum bulbs, but only the very small bulbs with lower wattage fit. But we need more Lumens since they rooms are fairly large. This bulb fits great due to its small size and gives off a lot of light. Is it more than a halogen? No, but I can't get halogens to fit in the fixture.

Pros
  • ‎Bright White
Cons
  • Can be fragile and prone to breaking during transport or installation

Good replacement for bad CFLs

I bought this bulb because I was having problems with my E12 CFL bulb--it was interacting funny with a remote light switch I installed Heath Zenith BL-6133-WH Basic Solutions Wireless Switch and Wall Switch so that the CFL never really turned 100% off. Anyhow, this fixed it! It is as bright as the 14W CFL. It is tiny.I wish it had the smaller power footprint of the CFL, but I figure this will have to do until dimmable led bulbs come down in price, (or until my son grows tall enough to reach the

Pros
  • Fully dimmable without performance loss
Cons
  • Can be difficult to reach in high or difficult-to-reach fixtures

Bright bulb and fits nicely in my ceiling fan

I am using two of them in my ceiling fan in the dining room, and it puts out a nice amount of light. They also work with the dimmer on my fan, so I am quite happy. As a warning, if you haven't worked with this kind of bulb before, be sure to handle these bulbs with clean rubber gloves. The reason being if you get oils or dirt from your hands onto the bulb when installing, you will cause it to fail prematurely.

Pros
  • ‎20 watts
Cons
  • Can lead to higher electricity bills than other bulbs

Much brighter than regular halogen candelabra, it's not a subtle difference, it's such a large difference: normally in a 3-bulb chandelier I can see three shadows on the ceiling for the chandelier chain, one shadow for each bulb. However when I put one Bulbright 60w with two regular 60w incandescents, the Bulbright washes out the two other shadows completely and all I see are the shadow cast by the very bright Bulbrite. I don't have a way to measure the lumens, but it's very noticeable. The…

Great Bulbs - my new review

I looked all over town for 40-watt bulbs like this and could not find them (I believe I found 15 watt and that is all--co That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Incandescent Bulbs
Cons
  • Can be difficult to dispose of in an environmentally-friendly manner

If you are like me, you've found that nearly all fans on the market right now are using candelabra bulbs. Most are 60W or less and they just don't light up a room like regular bulbs do. So if you are stuck with a dim fan light like I was, these little bulbs are your answer! They pack over 900 lumens which is what you have to look at to tell how much light a bulb will put out, not wattage. They are equal in wattage to a 60W bulb, so you can use them in place of your dim 60W candelabra bulbs that

Pros
  • ‎Candelabra Screw Base (E12)
Cons
  • Can attract insects more than some other types of bulbs

Perfect replacement bulb

I didn't know where I would find a replacement bulb when the the bulb in the lamp on my piano burned out after about 16 or 17 years. Revain to the rescue. This arrived quickly, was well packaged, and brought my piano lamp back to life. Much easier than schlepping all over town trying to find the right lightbulb. Very pleased with this easy and useful purchase.

Pros
  • Simply - works well and does what it says!
Cons
  • Not as energy-efficient as some other LED or CFL bulbs

Great microwave/range replacements

I hated the weak 40w incandescents that were in our rangetop microwave. They barely lit up the stove with a very yellow light that made all food look. bad. These were a GREAT upgrade to that. I bought two and installed them, immediately everything was much brighter and in pure white light. I was a bit concerned about temperature increases with these, measured with my IR gun these get on average 20° warmer then the incandescents I had previously. However it seems to be within tolerances, it…

These bulbs are super bright, but very pricey

These bulbs are super bright, but very pricey. I installed four ceiling fans and did not think about candelabra bulbs not being bright enough. The fan fixtures are rated for bulbs of only 60 w, and these are the brightest that I found. Hard to stomach that 2 bulbs are 1/4 the cost of the fan, so depending on how long these last, I may end up just replacing the fan fixture.

Pros
  • Bright white light of a halogen
Cons
  • Not ideal for showcasing artwork or decorative items

Better'n most.a lot better.

I have 3 of these in my Casablanca ceiling fan in my man cave. They have been working fine for a year now; I use the lamp many hours a day and turn it on and off a lot; e.g., when I leave the room for any extended period. I also dim the light with the fan controller when we watch TV in the evening and they seem to put up with the dimming feature very well. Like others here, I have had "short life" issues with some sorry candelabra-base halogen bulbs in bathroom fixtures in the past…

Pros
  • No UV hazard
Cons
  • Can make certain objects or surfaces appear shiny or glare-y
