Overall great for beginners, probably not for long term use.

So this was a gift, I'm pretty sure I ordered a size 9.5 or 10 (I wear 9.5 shoes), they are about half an inch or an inch bigger but really perfect and I was hoping it would be because I wanted a pair big enough to put my own orthotics in without taking up too much room for my feet to fit comfortably. From the start I felt the flimsy material looked a bit cheap - (I'm used to $120-$200 Riedell skates, which are super soft and look and perform pretty well - considering I I've used the same pair of skates for 9 years !) They don't look cheap visually. ! I was more concerned about comfort, so I can say the inserts on these skates are less than an eighth of an inch thick - if you're one of those people who ordered an oversized pair, use that to your advantage and think about it. It's a blessing, get some orthotics/insoles to put those skates in to take up some space because you're going to need them! Without them, you will most likely feel uncomfortable on the soles of your feet! Haven't tested them outdoors yet but so far they're great for my wooden floors πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I love the extra toe room and the lighted wheels are a bonus as I mostly ride outdoors at night in the city. The laces are fine, just long enough to wrap under the plate and tie a bow at the top :) (or around the skate's ankle) The sole of the skateboard itself is not very stiff - actually very flexible, which is not so great for your feet - but if you're just learning to skate and won't be using them for a while, it should be ok. The platter itself and all of the components appear to be pretty solid (I'm 5.10 inches tall and 170 pounds). All in all, all the stitching looks good, the laces are long and it looks like they won't fall apart after a few uses. In terms of comfort, it should be ok if you use Dr. Buy sonics or get some custom orthopedic insoles which I HIGHLY recommend from Ortho. (Also for casual shoes) Comes with a handy shoulder carry bag, very cute, the wheels are not grooved but FYI buttery smooth but grippy/non-slip.

Pros
  • Wheels with ABEC 5 bearings
Cons
