not perfect; There was a small grinding error on the edge where it was rough and it's not somewhere around 1 inch, I think it's 0.49 inch (less than 1/2 inch). But for my purposes it's very good. I need a replacement top for my vintage Victorian plant stand and this is perfect. I used a spatula to scrape off the legs (which are just foam pads) and attached the piece with construction glue. Turned a $40 yard sell base into a $400 stand. !For general kitchen use, it's fine if you're careful. The thinness of the piece makes it more brittle.
