Review on Portta YPbPr Component RGB + R/L to HDMI Mini Converter v1.3 - Supports 1080p & Uncompressed 2 Channel Audio LPCM by Ted Higdem

I've waited too long to test this converter for functionality and now it's just another trash can and I've lost my purchase price. It didn't work at all on the first try. Although the blinding blue power indicator is lit, the corresponding detected input signal is not lit. I have of course checked the signal coming into this box and it is fine. I just wanted to free up the component inputs on my Vizio TV for another use by converting one of my sources from component to HDMI. I tried anyway, with a good HDMI cable between the converter and the TV. Unfortunately, this device turned out to be garbage. I suspect this is just an example of poor quality control at the factory that makes it and possibly a rare defect as other users of this device have had happier experiences. But I'll look elsewhere for a converter.
