Works like a remote control

It only took batteries and it started my Aquos TV. The buttons are a little hard to press compared to the original remote, but that doesn't bother me. The Netflix and Favorites buttons are at the bottom. It can be for or against, whichever you prefer. He does what he has to do. I would recommend this to anyone needing an inexpensive replacement remote for the TV listed for this product. I bought it at full price for private use.
