With a long foot (size 12) that is NOT wide, it can be difficult to find the right fit for any shoe, especially the more athletic ones. Women's 12s can be short or, if they're long enough, too baggy, which makes my legs look like boats, especially since I prefer to wear skinny jeans. These shoes are mostly invisible, they don't look big or long - they're just cute little shoes. This is an aesthetic rating only. A few days after receiving them, I did a fairly strenuous hike up and down a local mountain during the warmer months. I almost always get blisters with new shoes (even old shoes) on warm-weather climbs when my feet can sweat, but I haven't had a single spot that even looks like a blister. My legs felt supported, light, cool, even firm and happy. Another nice point: these shoes are NOT heavy. I hate heavy shoes. Really nice and light, but with a lot of cushioning. I will buy this brand again when the time comes for a new pair. Oh! I also wore light feature socks when hiking. I think it helped too! They really conform to the foot so they don't rub or chafe.
