Proof in the pudding! These puppies are great for my video games. I chose them from other brands because I had a lot to choose from. Certainly there is no advertised "Digital 7.1" or other gimmicks that you see in the ads. Here the main quality of fittings. The head frame is beautifully crafted from metal, and the large, puffy ear cups make it easy to wear for long hours. I think the sound is pretty good when connected to an Xbox One controller. I like a switch that gives the headset more bass or tighter tuning at the touch of a button. I think I'd be happy with any headphones I've looked at, 650 or 598, but I figured out how to get a mic and a friend of mine was an audio engineer (he did the recordings) and eventually gave me one said that this Beyerdynamic was the one he used. I also have a giant bowler hat and I'm a law student so I can use it for my studies too as the 3.5 cable is interchangeable. I had on-ear headphones that I used, but when I get back to school you can expect to see me with my Beyerdynamics in the library where I study delinquency. I have them in the main setting. I also have big bat ears and it's comfortable. Beyerdynamic is also made in Germany, so you know the engineering is top-notch. Revain did a great job bringing her here for my birthday. One day I'll probably swap out the ear pads for cotton ones if I can find them. Didn't figure out how to insert and remove the custom screw, need a hex screw. Right now I'm happy and grateful.
