Review on 🪒 Braun Series 3 Old Generation Electric Shaver Replacement Head - 30B - Compatible with SmartControl, TriControl, 300, 310, 320, 330, 340 by Heather Armstrong

I have had a Braun 7526 for many, many years (over a decade). The battery no longer holds a charge but works when it is connected to the network, which is not too inconvenient. I've had a thick beard for about 10 years, so I rarely use my electric razor. I use it for trimming now and then. I pass on email. Razor across my beard to trim longer hair and keep it clean. In addition to the dead battery, the blade was dull and there were large holes in the foil. It worked for what I used it for, but often I would tangle and pull out my whiskers, so I went in search of a replacement head and found this one. I had read all the reviews about the new blade and foil designs and that they didn't cut as well or as quickly as the original design, but I was willing to accept that since I don't shave my entire face. As previously mentioned, the blades are now slightly wider and the foil has a different hole pattern. The first few times I used it it worked well gliding through my beard and I thought I wouldn't have any more hair pulling issues, but the last few times it did just that. I usually just use a disposable razor to shave my neck and upper cheeks (anywhere there isn't a beard). I've tried it on these spots since I've had it and it seems to take longer to shave even the shortest stubble, but it's hard to remember what it was like when I shaved with the old design years ago . It could be a new blade design, a new foil hole pattern, or both, but it doesn't seem to be cutting as fast. This is the case with many products today. Companies are too keen on making their products cheaper, not better, over the years. We, the consumers, are suffering. For what I use it for, a new foil and a new cutter will suffice. They're better than my old battered old ones. I just won't use it very often to shave an area without a beard because it doesn't work like a precision razor.
