Review on 🔩 Culligan UB-1 Mounting Bracket Kit, Including Screws by Mitchell Watson

Either someone changed the design or someone got it wrong. I've bought these [elsewhere] over the years and they were the right width for the water filter I bought. However, this time the bracket is 3/8" wider than the width of the water filter housing. {The bracket, filter housing and filter were sold as a 3 piece set} Also, I find the holes for the plumbing fixtures to be too large. I have copper tubing at home and I have 3/4" copper fittings used in the filter housing. The holes are so big that the fitting almost goes through the holes in the bracket. If you're familiar with 3/4" copper adapters, they have flat sides so you can unscrew them. Even with those flat sides, they almost go through the holes. To describe it, the "corners" are anything that keeps the nipple from falling through the hole in the bracket. I looked for large washers at my local Orange Box store but they didn't have any. In addition to installation, you need to press down the bracket to adjust the filter housing. The old ones fit snugly with smaller holes. It's better than nothing, but I'm not thrilled about it. after they cool down or you will melt the water filter housing.
