Nice clear stereo speaker. The emphasis on high tones is a little less on bass. What the manual doesn't say is that the speaker will beep several times a minute when the battery needs to be charged. It was in use for about 15 hours when it started beeping, couldn't figure it out until I plugged it into an outlet after which it stopped beeping. Overall a very good speaker. TO UPDATE. After many hours of playing all types of music, I can say that the base rises proportionately faster than higher notes as the volume increases, but the higher notes are still very clear with no distortion. Really a very good speaker.
