This review is for those considering purchasing an Acoustically Clear 125" Elite Spectrum. My screen is mounted on the ceiling in front of my 65 inch TV, center channel and audio system. The audio device display can be seen through the screen even when the screen is dimmed. The light from my projector penetrates the acoustically transparent screen and hits everything behind it. My walls are a light color so this affects the contrast a lot. I had an old Elite 1.1 Gain Vmax screen and never had this problem, but it wasn't acoustically transparent. I solved the problem by hanging a black cloth behind the screen, but it's annoying because I have to take it off every time I put it on. I don't use the screen (I use magnets to attach it to the screen case). black cloth on the back, the contrast improves a lot because no light can shine through. This black fabric is not very transparent acoustically. rent, so I cut out where the center speaker is and fill it with speaker cloth in that part. Well, after all that, picture quality. This will make your projector look like it's gone down from 4k to 1080p. thats so bad. But I wanted a bigger screen and that was the only option. So I deal with it. I would like to get answers from Elite myself before making the purchase but they don't even have a phone number to contact them and I left my phone number for a call back and they never called back. Did it once a week for 4 weeks. I hope this doesn't break because I can already see what kind of customer service I'm going to get.
