Exactly what we need!

This is our first induction torch and it fits perfectly! I know many people have asked if this aerosol can machine can be used. We had the same problem. My wife wanted us to be able to fish for salmon outside of the RV and not after we got home. But we didn't want to use our autoclave on an open fire because of the many warnings. So began our search for an electric torch strong and strong enough to handle a 23 liter tin can. This led us to learn about induction torches versus traditional electric torches, leading to our need for an induction-friendly tin can. It was quite a tedious process, but in the end we sorted everything out! We found through research that this Max Burton 6450 burner can handle up to 50 pounds. Check. It also needed an adjustable heater. Check. And a timer is a must. Check. Read the instructions and you'll understand that this thing is very easy to use. Our test run of this burner, which is compatible with Presto induction, went great! We were able to serve 21 half-litre cans of sockeye salmon without any problems. Our combined weight of the can and its contents was 45 pounds. We chose to use temperature mode instead of thermal mode. We set the initial heat at 375 degrees until the pressure hits 11psi. Since we first used this burner we've learned on the fly, slowly reducing the heat in 50 degree increments as needed. We stopped at 200 degrees, which kept the pressure on the gauge right at 11-12. In our case we set the timer to 110 minutes, monitoring the pressure (learning phase!) throughout the process. At the end of the synchronization phase, the device emits several beeps, as expected, and shuts down completely. And that loud annoying beep on the burner? They must have fixed it because the sound on our device was much more muffled and quiet! Of course, we can't speak of durability. But he did exactly what we wanted/needed to do. I will provide an update in about a month after our Coho (Silver) Salmon trip.
