I bought these shoes because they look good and I need a new pair of hiking shoes. Sneakers usually suit my needs. I wear my shoes with running socks so my ankles are bare. After running two miles, my ankles were a mass of blistered, bleeding tissue. The heels and under both sides of my ankle on both feet and a stain on the inside of the heel on my right foot were bleeding from the rough lining of these shoes. The ankle collar was like sandpaper on my skin. My recommendation: Only buy these shoes if you buy them in a plus size and wear thick socks to protect your skin. The sole was stiff and the insole was unsupportive. I'm confused as to why the shoe company allowed these shoes to be sold because they don't represent the company well.
