The timing was interesting as I found this item. I was thinking about holiday decorations and felt this could add a nice pop of color or even movement. Item arrived pretty quickly and was well packed.Started the process by getting the app for my phone. There is a barcode to scan and load the app directly from the mfg website, but I chose to download from the Apple App Store assuming at least some vetting of the application has happened. This is an unknown company and I was honestly a bit reluctant to install the application, but I ultimately did on an isolated device. The app has a number of options but I found it to be a bit difficult to navigate and understand the settings. The very limited instructions that arrived with the lights provided some help, but honestly the font is incredibly small and difficult to read. I almost gave up trying to get the configuration I wanted with alternating colors and I accidentally discovered the right icon to select and then touched the bulb illustration. There are a number of preset "scenes” with various color options but nothing I wanted to use for the holidays. While I liked some of the light motion presets I found no way to set the colors I wanted to a movement pattern. This is a big disappointment for me. Maybe the mfg can add some additional holiday themed choices.Setup of the hardware was easy enough, but with each light boxed individually with no markings it was literally box number 6 before I found the "master” light. Connections were easy from there. Making the connection to the lights was a bit clumsy and I think this could be improved greatly. No idea why Bluetooth is needed, and I had to provide network credentials. I have a test network setup so it’s isolated, but I think this could be a difficult process for many.Once I had the lights setup how I wanted them I took outside and placed on my porch. The photo attached shows the result using the lights as accents to my Christmas decorations.The good;- once configured, the lights work well.- appears to be made good and will be weather resistant.- wide array of colors to set the lights to.- good brightness for a dark settingCould be better;- application to control is not intuitive, and could be difficult to setup- it very bright. Could be a challenge in some situations.- application seems to easily loose connection*Note: the image attached is not super accurate color. In person the blue green color here is a nice green. The red is a nice temperature as well
