I bought this to replace a similar fixture that kept becoming loose and leaning. I'm glad I did.My new fixture arrived and I was pleased with the quality. It looks like a more expensive faucet. I considered getting the option base to keep this new fixture more upright. I ultimately decided to just try it out of the box and see what happened first before coming to the base. I'm glad I didnt get the base because once I set it inside the hole in the counter top, it stood there very erect. This thing was upright even before installing the nut and washer from the underside of the cabinet. Then once I installed the nut hand tight , then I tightened the two set screws and this faucet became extremely sturdy. I was so impressed and I believe this faucet wont budge a millimeter any time soon. In addition to how sturdy this thing is it also allows water to flow through at a faster rate than my previous faucet. This is a definitely a bonus. Overall 5 star review after the initial installation.
