WHAT DOES THIS PIECE LOOK LIKE? This iron has proven itself very well. What was annoying, however, was the stand it was standing on. It's just a straight piece of plastic that's awkward on or near a sink and needs to be seated properly or it'll tip over. It deducted a star. As for the curling iron, it tends to not only make the hair shiny, but the curls stay in place better than any other curling iron we've used. The next morning the curls were still in pretty good shape. They were shiny and resilient. VERY impressed with it. TYPE OF HAIR USED We tested medium to fine hair. it is very convenient and easy to take with you. If the standings on it were better, it would be just perfect. MY RATING Four stars - the stand of this curling iron is a bit cheap for a curling iron in this price range. The curling iron itself is excellent, but the stand has been disappointing at times.
