I went ahead and gave this one 5 stars because I read reviews about it so I was expecting the problem I was having. This is great sand and more than enough for my small community aquarium. I switched from gravel to sand BUT I washed the sand in a bag because I didn't have a chemical protection bucket on hand and I "thought" I washed it well. I run the water over it for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally as much as possible. Apparently it wasn't good enough. Not at all. I've had it in my tank for 2 hours and still can't see anything in my tank lol the water is completely tanned (sand colored) and doesn't seem to settle very quickly so it could be a full day. or two before I can add my fish back in. I'm impatient so it's a bit inconvenient but I know other reviews recommend rinsing well and expect cloudy water for a while so can't complain. It's really beautiful sand and I can already say I'm going to love how it will look when my water clears again.
