Review on 🦈 JAWS 2: Thrilling Sequel on DVD WS - Experience the Ultimate Shark Terror! by David Pullen

Revainrating 2 out of 5

While the first Jaws was an exceptionally good Incredible Buddies film, set against the backdrop of a movie.

While the first movie Jaws was an exceptionally good Incredible Buddies movie set against the backdrop of a frighteningly smart shark trying to kill everyone, this is a pretty good movie, Terrible Smart Shark, trying to kill everyone. The difference in premise makes the original Jaws one of the best movies you've ever seen and Jaws 2 a fun monster movie that doesn't have the emotional impact of the original. I haven't seen it in probably 20 years and was happy to sit down with the Blu-Ray and watch this film again. I would say it was better than I remember. Roy Shader is a legend, of course, and the fact that he and Lorraine Gary continue their performances in the first film obviously makes this sequel stand out considerably. This movie lacks a lot of the charm and personal interaction of the original Jaws, but it's still a very good movie in its own right and a nice sequel to a movie that honestly shouldn't have had a sequel. I've read so many reviews poking fun at the helicopter scene and honestly I thought it was great! This isn't a documentary about sharks, it has to be a movie about monsters! I can't believe all the people are jumping around in this whole segment like there's something even remotely right about the whole premise of this movie - gosh guys just enjoy the monster shark movie. If you want to see a strong monster movie with good production values, clear direction, great cinematography and really great actors, this is a great choice! The picture and sound were good too, not too many negatives for this budget Blu-Ray release.
