Review on Bona Premium Microfiber Floor Mop with Microfiber Cleaning and Dusting Pads by Teresa Torma

Affordable and does the job (simple update to make it great)

I've always used microfiber mops, I find them best for the types of floors I have (wood and tile). However, they don't last that long, which is why I've been through quite a few over the past few years. In fact, my last one just had a broken handle, which is why I'm here. The reason I bought it is simple - it was cheap. Got it when it was on sale at a price I just couldn't refuse. It comes with all the things I love too, like reusable pads, a rotating head, and a telescoping handle. I admit the quality isn't the best but then again most mops are like that these days. You just have to replace them as soon as they break. That's probably why they're available in the first place. What I noticed is that the pads were a bit flexible at the ends. The material is also thinner compared to others I've used. I plan on replacing them with microfiber turbo mop pads that I have used before. I checked the dimensions and it looks like the corners protrude a bit, but I don't mind if this allows me to mop more efficiently. Anyway, the day after I received it, I tried it out. Assembling the item is easy, you just need to fold the parts. When I did that, I decided to use it to clean the kitchen. It's been over a week since my last mop broke, so the tile floors have been piled with debris ever since. As always, I started by dampening the microfiber pad. A dry rag won't get rid of anything! After that, I took my spray bottle and sprayed the floor with it (this is a homemade solution I made with vinegar and water). Then I went over it with a microfiber cloth. It got dirty quickly, I had to change blocks in the middle once. *I know Bona sells their own line of cleaning products, but I'd rather just use what I already have at home. Maybe one day I'll try their stuff, but not anytime soon. * Pros: - Lightweight and easy to move - Uses microfiber pads instead of disposables - Swivel head rotates 360 degrees, makes mopping easier - Ideal for getting under furniture and objects - You can use any cleaner you like. Overall I'm happy with how the mop works. It's on par with those I've used in the past: the pivoting head allows me to get into those nooks and crannies, and the retractable handle means I can reach much farther than usual. I probably won't buy this product again, but that's not because I don't like it at all, it's because I have a habit of trying different mops as soon as the one I'm using breaks. Whatever it is, I'd say this mop is worth the money. It's cheap and does a great job with your hard floors!
