Exceeded all expectations! Bought this for my dad after he mentioned he wants to listen/digitize his vinyl records. He had nothing to play her for over 20 years. I found this deal during a visit last holiday season for $20 including postage and shipping. It arrived 2 days later while I was still there and it was almost brand new. It must have been the best gift I ever gave him. I can't tell how direct recording to iPod/iPhone/iPad works because we don't have any to try. It connected to his Windows 8 laptop and installed the drivers automatically. He downloaded the latest software and recorded his LP on his laptop in less than 10 minutes. I think if it wears out the needle it will cost more than I spent on the entire device.
