Our granite counter in the kitchen had a few natural imperfections. I took a nylon brush and removed as much of the crumbled "rotten" granite as I could, mixed up a small portion of epoxy and poured it. 30 minutes. The other defect was on the vertical side just above the sink. As the epoxy started to set a bit (I had to keep an eye on it by constantly scooping it back into the crack), I took the foil yogurt lid and folded it over the edge to stop the epoxy from dripping further. I thought I would have to shave it off too, but it came off right away. After a little trimming everything was perfect. I decided not to bother with coloring because it wasn't important to me, but you may have a different opinion. I should add that I originally tried filling the defects with some sort of UV light-curing material, but it didn't work. I am very happy that I bought this item. I'm now looking for other areas to fill in and fix. Every time I look at it, I'm satisfied.
