I would give this product five stars if it weren't for the safety issue I see in it. For the record, we've had this bassinet for two months now and I rarely write a review because I finally see the need for it. First of all, this bassinet is HUGE, which is what drew us to it. My son is now three months old and still fits in and has room to grow. The bassinet is a good height to be used as a co-sleeper and is generally solid with a decent mattress. As for the issue discussed, now that my son is three months old and fidgeting more (but not ready for a crib, believe me we've tried) he runs to the edge where there is no net and it is pretty scary to see. Although I want to love this bassinet, we're getting rid of it. The mesh is only at two ends of the carrycot, which doesn't make sense because the baby doesn't usually end up there, they usually roll and run near their lying position, which is the middle. Spend the extra money and get a bassinet with all the web pages. And even if you're not concerned about safety, the non-mesh material in question is extremely abrasive and overall I don't want my child's face rubbing.
