Bought for a hired mare in Florida which has 46 nights a week lately. She had a short haircut and needed some light protection from the wind and cold at night. We had this in a different color and size quarter horse for 3 years, this one still looks new so we chose it again. The weight is comparable to a windbreaker made up of several layers. Not super light, not thick. He is strong and correct. If the night is very cold or windy, we will put a fleece cooler box underneath. Quarter horse gelding 15x2.78 is too big for him. A bit like a kid borrowing his father's coat. Bought 72 for a Warmblood mare with a shorter body and it fits better. I would have preferred if the finish wasn't brown, but at least the celadon is nice.
