To be honest I'm giving it one star because I don't think a 12 inch computer can survive a 20 foot drop without some kind of cushioning. Also, I figured I'd buy this case specifically for the iPad Pro and use it as a college tote for my other stuff. I didn't realize this is only for one computer, nor can you put other things in it, so I conclude I need to return it. The body is solid and sturdy, but lacks padding and storage space for other things. Also, I don't see any leather to show in this piece, it even looks like woven instead of real leather. Notebook. Due to the lack of padding, the device can be crushed on impact unless you keep it in a safe place. Imagine a scenario where you get into an argument and bang on the case in frustration, the laptop might get dented or the tablet may crash meaning you need to add a pad to prevent it from breaking, which requires more work. It's like putting your clothes you never wear in a suitcase and keeping them there for safety. I just wouldn't recommend it.
