Very good design and finish. The elevator is excellent. I wish they had a simple in-memory audio editor out of the box. (There are free files on the web, but be careful what codecs you use. I took an 8MB file, threw away 2/3 and re-saved, and the new file was 13MB. However, this unit has it not affected - except that the Sony codec consumption is very good). Plan for a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, as it drains the battery pretty quickly during recording. Again, I think this is relatively unavoidable (amplification, filtering, etc. comes first). I haven't bought a rechargeable battery yet, but the documentation says you can just leave it in the USB port to charge if you do. The thing does exactly what it's supposed to. and easy to use. I wish they had a 2M version with FM radio, I would choose that. On the other hand, how often will I use it.
