Review on πŸ•³οΈ McGill Metal Handheld Hanger Hole Punch, 1 x 5/16" Punch Out Dimension, Black/Red (MCG16200) by Denise Davis

Clean cut - solid construction - don't save!

The same hole punch sells for $40 on eBay and other sites so it was easy to buy here. McGill's hanging punch is the only option for low-cost individuals. Consumers aren't willing to spend more than $30 on most things. Luckily the hole punch is very good, made from quality materials and cuts cleanly. 2 pieces of single-sided kraft paper/poster board (e.g. white/fibrous baking box material) 5 sheets of thick glossy photo paper 1 clear plastic blister/vacuum-formed plastic food wrap Cutting larger quantities/thicker materials will dull the edge, allowing for rougher cuts and may not be possible due to a narrow neck. The jaws are cast/treated iron and painted black. The scissors are made of heavy steel covered in red rubber. All parts make a very solid impression. Overall, this is a very solid product that can be easily customized. One user mentioned that due to the design of the stamp, the stamp couldn't penetrate deep into the surface of their box. The image of this product clearly shows how deep the hole punch penetrates the card. Pushing the punch all the way down will give you 1/4 inch + cardboard over the raised portion of the inverted T-hanger hole. This seems to be the standard depth for most blister cards. If you want a deeper hole, you will need to purchase a custom hammer/leather punch or benchtop punch/press ($).
