Very disappointed with hole size

Quality material but hole too small. Not consistent with typical retail shelves. If you look at traditional retail packaging you will see that the openings are much larger for obvious reasons. Very disappointed with the hole size. It works for rough prototyping but not for ready-to-sell options.

This item works exactly as advertised. IF you want to punch through thick layers of cardboard, IT WILL NOT WORK. The FRONT HOLE width is only +-โ…› inch, which is sufficient for top folding and punching light card stock. People are complaining about problems with "alignment". There is NO trailing edge guide or stop, so just learn how to set the angle you need. As for "OIL" or black, I flushed mine overnight before using WD40 and then bled it. I don't have a problem with "black spots". "I did NOTโ€ฆ

The market is cornered and not big.

After searching the world for a hanger punch, the McGill is undoubtedly the ONLY one a consumer can find for their packaging every day. Very relieved to have found at least one model, I grabbed it and looked at the steep price of $30. Satisfied with the technology and cutting/perforating capabilities of this tool, I tested it on several pieces of recycled paper. Brilliant! Until I realized that with my packaging products, I can only go more than 3/4 inch into the edge of the box to punch aโ€ฆ

Clean cut - solid construction - don't save!

The same hole punch sells for $40 on eBay and other sites so it was easy to buy here. McGill's hanging punch is the only option for low-cost individuals. Consumers aren't willing to spend more than $30 on most things. Luckily the hole punch is very good, made from quality materials and cuts cleanly. 2 pieces of single-sided kraft paper/poster board (e.g. white/fibrous baking box material) 5 sheets of thick glossy photo paper 1 clear plastic blister/vacuum-formed plastic food wrap Cutting larger
