Inexpensive tool, does what it promises. The front opening is narrow.

This item works exactly as advertised. IF you want to punch through thick layers of cardboard, IT WILL NOT WORK. The FRONT HOLE width is only +-⅛ inch, which is sufficient for top folding and punching light card stock. People are complaining about problems with "alignment". There is NO trailing edge guide or stop, so just learn how to set the angle you need. As for "OIL" or black, I flushed mine overnight before using WD40 and then bled it. I don't have a problem with "black spots". "I did NOT give it 5 stars just for the front opening, I was expecting a wider opening. MALCO is an excellent HAMMER for working with aluminum trim, it punches a nice ¼" wide +- ⅞" hole. The mouth opening is close to 3/16 inch.. then again it's more expensive than that.
