Review on πŸ•³οΈ McGill Metal Handheld Hanger Hole Punch, 1 x 5/16" Punch Out Dimension, Black/Red (MCG16200) by Kristen Simpson

The market is cornered and not big.

After searching the world for a hanger punch, the McGill is undoubtedly the ONLY one a consumer can find for their packaging every day. Very relieved to have found at least one model, I grabbed it and looked at the steep price of $30. Satisfied with the technology and cutting/perforating capabilities of this tool, I tested it on several pieces of recycled paper. Brilliant! Until I realized that with my packaging products, I can only go more than 3/4 inch into the edge of the box to punch a hole. Could you state that in the product description? (Thanks!) I'm just asking for a 1-1/2" socket, but I can't get there with this tool. The back of the stamp forbids this. In addition, the die was placed at an angle, so the position of the punch had to be corrected each time, which is troublesome. To add to this frustration, I couldn't position it straight without drawing a line on each of my packages with a pencil. Too much time and not enough versatility. Let's hope there is another vendor who will listen and break into this monopolized "hanging hole punch" market!
