Small size and very good sound for FM radio. Clear audio for 1 NOAA weather channel in my area and multiple AM channels for public radio in my area. The digital tuner has good reception. Very bright light. I like emergency devices that I can also use every day so I don't forget them in an emergency. In an emergency, a hand crank, solar charger, and AAA batteries are good options. The hand-powered dynamo is also good for charging small devices in an emergency, thanks to the 5V micro-USB output. It may take 30 minutes to get 15 minutes of talk time at 60rpm, but it's still good to have in emergency situations. If you turn the crankshaft for a long time, you should block it somewhere so that you don't have to hold it with your other hand. Runs a lot easier.
