I struggled to use these clay bars. When the package arrived, the plastic canister with the latches was badly crumpled. (See photo.) Okay, blame the packer or shipper - it might not be the product's fault. I had to use a screwdriver to remove the top of the canister - not convenient to remove by hand. As soon as the lid was removed, the single cellophane wrapper the clay bar was wrapped in suddenly ripped open. I had to carefully take it apart piece by piece as it was torn all the time. It was like trying to peel off the thin toffee wrapper when the sticky toffee was exposed to heat. Here's the packaging. According to the product description, it removes tar, asphalt and rust. So I tried using one of the clay sticks to clean my truck's door panels. I was hoping this would remove the tree sap stains, which are basically chewing gum. No luck here either. (Check out the video - I cut it from a much longer length). By the way, I doubt they meant chewing gum. These strips may work for minor color oxidation but are not suitable for removing larger stains. Given the trouble I had getting them out of the box, I'd suggest sticking with the more established brands of clay bars that cost about the same as these.
