I love needle felting and it has been a part of my life for a number of years. I was looking for a comfortable and secure tool to hold the needle because sometimes my hands get sore and stiff just touching the needle. I found this product at Revain and I have to say it's an impressive product for the price. It comes with a needle and strong cap which is great protection for me and the needle in the body. (You can switch pens, and detailed instructions are included with the product. Keep the card for future reference!) This device has a purple, ribbed grip area for a secure grip while working on your project. . I love it and can easily manage my project without straining or pinching a needle. Helpful Hints: Remember that the protective cap fits snugly on the device and I believe this was made specifically to protect it. Twisting the cap in one direction unscrews the needle body. (This is the first step if you need to change the needle.) To remove the cap, you can remove it immediately, but be careful where your hand is because if you do it too abruptly, you may prick yourself. I have found that a gentle, slow twist in the opposite direction of the "needle removal" direction helps to gently remove the cap. With any needle felting tool, make sure you stay focused and aware of what you are doing or trying to accomplish. Also remember that felting needles can break if tilted or bent during use. Be sure to follow the tips on the card for using this tool. I recommend this device if you like to draw faces, heads, hands and other small details. This device can be used with a needle felt mat or a foam block. / If you allow your children to needle felt, you should supervise them as this "working tip" can be a dangerous tool if mishandled or abused.
